About Melanie Haniph
Melanie is the founder of College Admissions for Parents, a parent-first resource hub built on lived experience, strategic research, and a deep understanding of what families actually need (but often don't receive) during the college planning journey.
After guiding her own children through two very different and successful college paths, Melanie turned years of research and emotional insight into a clear framework that helps parents show up with clarity and confidence. Her signature 4-Year Video Roadmap series, From Freshman Year to Acceptance, and interactive tools for parents (including an in-depth state-by-state college map) are designed to demystify the college preparation process, spark meaningful conversations between parents and their teens, and support families from the first day of high school.

Melanie is also a seasoned content strategist and writer, known for translating complex ideas into emotionally intelligent, outcome-driven messaging. Her work in HR, education, and other sectors has appeared in national campaigns, research reports, and thought leadership publications, but College Admissions for Parents is a separate venture, grounded in personal experience and built for impact.
